I’ve noticed a lot of strange ‘coincidences’ in my business lately. A friend suggested that I do a writing exercise and declare an outcome for an event I was holding, and what I wrote down came true – precisely true, even the numbers of clients and the exact monetary figure.
For the last two years, I’ve had a bright orange piece of paper with my goals next to my bathroom mirror. I see it every day, so much so that I don’t really notice it. Yet everything on that sheet has come true, two years in a row!
Now, you may think that’s just a coincidence, or you may think that’s not surprising at all. Most of the people I know believe in the power of intention to some extent, either through the Law of Attraction or because of a scientific belief in the power of the subconscious mind when it’s programmed for success.
But how often do you write down your goals and intentions?
Saying them every day is great. Putting them into a meditation and visualization is great, and I recommend it. But writing them down has a particular power, and scientific studies prove that people with written goals are far more likely to achieve them. So why not stack your deck for success?
Here’s your assignment:
1) On a piece of paper, write at the top: “It’s January 1st, 2012, and I’m sitting here reflecting on the past year. Wow! It’s been tremendous.” Then go on to write all of the wonderful things that have happened, and that you’ve accomplished in the last year. Put this one away, you’ll check it next year.
2) Write on another piece of paper (or type it in to your computer and print it out – that’s what I do so it’s attractive)
I am so happy and grateful that I … and list all of the goals you wish to achieve, in present tense as though they were already true.
Post this paper where you’ll see it every day – by your mirror, next to your computer, by your bed. Read it at least once a day (twice or three times is better.)
3) If you have any negative emotions or doubts while reading your list, use EFT tapping to remove them.
You’ll be amazed at the power of intention, and what it can do for your business and life.
